Swim Hits The Lanes At Bridgewater

Traveling to the Bridgewater, Massachusets this afternoon for their season-opener, Gordon College Women's and Men's Swimming faced off against the Bears of Bridgewater State. The Bears proved to be too much for the Fighting Scots as the women were topped, 149-95 while the men fell to the home team, 162-42.

In the 50 yard breaststroke, Olivia Rose hit the wall first at 37.45 to capture the first top-spot for the Fighting Scots. Bringing home the second first place finish was Janelle Maxwell who secured herself a time of 31.43 in 50 yard butterfly. Rose was victorious in her second event of the afternoon as the senior blew past the competition in the 200 IM with a time of 2:42.28.  The women's A 400 yard freestyle relay team of Carley Ross, Lillyan DeFeo, Charlotte Cummings, and Maxwell bested their opponents as the quad won the event in 4:41.71.

On the men's side, John Sullivan crashed into the wall at 2:22.51 to give the men their first top-finish.
