MEET RESULTS
Gordon College Women's Swimming battled against seven other squads at the Bridgewater State Invitational this afternoon in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. The Fighting Scots earned a team total of 130 points, putting the blue and white ahead of UMass Dartmouth for a seventh place finish.
In the 1650 yard freestyle,
Grace Haxhinasto secured a fourth place finish with a time of 21:42.78, coming in ahead of nine other swimmers to start off the highlights of the day.
Janelle Maxwell also booked a fourth place finish as the junior touched the wall at the 30.42 mark. In the 100 yard breaststroke, senior
Olivia Rose was the fourth swimmer to finish the race with a time of 1:18.51, beating out 16 other opponents. Meanwhile,Â
Carley Ross came in fifth place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:53.84. Dueling it out with 29 other swimmers, Maxwell registered an eighth place finish with a time of 1:01.30 in the 100 yard freestyle. Rose came in third place in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:51.06. In a tight battle in the 50 yard backstroke,
Lily Brooks got to the wall at the 35,47 mark which put her in eighth place out of 18. Earning her best finish of the meet yet, Rose raced her way to a second place finish thanks to her time of 35.53 in the 50 yard breaststroke.
This marks the final meet for the fall semester for the blue and white.
