Box Score In a nail-bitter this afternoon down the road in Beverly, the Gordon College Women's Tennis team were edged out by the Endicott College Gulls, 5-4.
Endicott secured the first point of the day in No. 3 doubles before the Fighting Scots' came storming back winning the following two head-to-head matchups. In the No. 2 slot,
Madison West and
Kristin Kendall defeated their opponents, 8-5. In an elongated duel in the No. 1 position,
Jordyn Maddex and
Annette Kim got the better half of Endicott's No. 1 duo, 8-7 (7-1).
In singles competition, Kim and West earned hard fought battles in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, but the Gulls' four singles victories put them back on top to defeat the Scots 5-4.
Gordon has their home opener on Thursday, April 1 as they welcome the Wentworth Leopards for a 4 p.m. start.Â
