Rain or shine, the Gordon College Track & Field Invite went on today at the Brigham Athletic Complex where Nichols, Roger Williams, Salve Regina, and Suffolk were all in attendance.

Highlights

• Matthew Draper took second place in the men's 100m with a time of 12.49.
• In the 800m race, Joshua Backert's time of 2:00.25 put him in the top spot, just ahead of teammate Evan Page who crossed the line at 2:01.86.
• Chase Silvia finished the 110H in 18.12 seconds. Continuing with hurdles, Silvia took first place again with a time of 59.96 in the 400m hurdles.
• Joseph Tibbles, Alexander Ferris, Chase Silvia, and Matthew Draper etched their names in the Gordon record books with a 4x100 relay time of 45.34.
• The Scots 4x400 relay team of Tibbles, Silvia, Alex Cravens, and Backert proved to be too much for the competition as the quad finished nearly four seconds ahead of the second place squad earning a time of 3:31.52.
• Silvia's high jump mark of 1.82m easily took the top spot for the junior.

The Scots will compete again next weekend at the Suffolk Invitational.
