Gordon College Women's Tennis traveled down Route 128 this afternoon for a non-conference matchup against the Curry College Colonels in Milton, Massachusetts.
Kristin Kendall and
Madison West put the Fighting Scots on the board first with an 8-0 victory in the No. 2 doubles slot.
Jordyn Maddex and
Annette Kim followed that up with a win of their own at the No. 1 position, 8-1.Â
Already with a 2-0 edge, the Fighting Scots got an early win from West in No. 3 singles as the junior bested her counterpart by a score of 6-1, 6-0. Kim gave Gordon its fourth point of the day as the current Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week won No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. In a battle at No. 1 singles, Maddex bounced back after dropping the first set  to overtake Curry's top player, 4-6, 7-5, 11-9.Â
The Scots and Colonels meet again on Saturday, April 10 at the Brigham Athletic Complex for an 11 a.m. matchup.Â
