MEET RESULTS

The Gordon College Men's Swim Team welcomed the Brandeis University Judges this evening at the Bennett Center for their first home meet of 2022. The Judges, however, defeated the Fighting Scots, 139-40.

John Sullivan hit the wall in the 1000 yard freestyle at the 11:36.14 mark for a second place finish to start things off for the blue and white. In the 50 yard backstroke, Ryan Locke secured a third place finish after recording a time of 35.76. One event later, teammate Zachary Barneson finished the 50 yard breaststroke in 36.16 to give him a fourth place finish. Barneson continued to improve throughout the meet, as the freshman came in third place with a time of 1:10.82 in the 100 yard backstroke. Coming in first place in the 50 yard butterfly, Sullivan posted a time of 27.53, followed by teammate Barneson (31.08). In back to back first place finishes, Sullivan swam his way to a time of 1:04.94 for the Fighting Scots in the 100 yard IM just before fellow Scot Locke crashed into the wall at 1:17.72 for a second place finish. 

Gordon returns to the pool on Friday, January 28 as they travel to Waltham, Mass. to square off against the Brandies Judges once again at 6 p.m.
