MEET RESULTS

Gordon College Men's Cross Country team competed in the Suffolk Invitational 8k in Franklin Park today in the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston this afternoon. Twenty two teams competed in today's meet on the men's side, including Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foes Endicott, U. of New England, Suffolk, and Wentworth as well as NCAA Division I student-athletes from Boston University and Northeastern. Gordon finished in ninth place overall and eighth among Division III opponents. 

Leading the way for the Fighting Scots in the 8k was Zachary Smith who came in 23rd place after crossing the finish line at 27:21.2. Colin McGinn followed closely behind with a time of 28:08.3 (46th place), rookie Philip Kay recorded a 53rd place finish thanks to a time of 28:29.4, while Wesley Marquardt completed the race in 29:53.2.

The Scots have a weekend off before they compete at the CCC Championship on Saturday, October 29 on the University of New England's campus.
