MEET RESULTS
The Gordon College Women's Cross Country team hit the trails at Franklin Park today in the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston this afternoon at the Suffolk Invitational 6k. Twenty two teams competed in today's meet on the women's side, including Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) members Endicott, U. of New England, Suffolk, and Wentworth as well as local NCAA Division I programs in Boston University and Northeastern. Gordon finished in 10th place overall and eighth among Division III teams.Â
Carolyn Day was the top runner for the Fighting Scots after the sophomore crossed the finish line with a time of 24:40.1 to come in 20th place. Following closely behind was teammate
Caroline Piorkowski who sported a time of 25:44.3 for a 36th place finish as well as Kim Poulos who booked a 79th place finish thanks to her time of 28:14.9.
The Scots have next weekend off as they prepare to compete at the CCC Championship on Saturday, October 29 on the University of New England's campus.Â
