MEET RESULTS
The Gordon College Men's Swim team welcomed the Regis College Pride to the Bennett Center this evening for their first home meet of the 2022-2023 season where the Pride edged the Fighting Scots, 89-60.
Kicking off the the night for the Scots was
John Sullivan who swam the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:37.87. Then, in the 200 yard freestyle, rookie
Brenndan Teeter finished strong, coming in less than a second behind the first place swimmer to take second place.
Dorian Bourguignon came in third in the 50 yard freestyle after sporting a time of 27.26 which was just under three seconds shy of the first place swimmer's time. Sullivan and Teeter later earned second (2:19.89) and third place (2:25.90), respectively, in the 200 yard IM. In the 100 yard butterfly, Major Adiar took third after recording a time of 1:07.42. For his best finish of the night, Teeter blew past the competition as the first swimmer to hit the wall in the 100 yard backstroke (1:03.79). In the final event of the evening, Bourguignon, Adair,
Zachary Barneson, and Sullivan finished the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:46.11.
Next up for the Fighting Scots is another dual meet on Saturday, November 5 in Norton, Mass. against their host the Wheaton Lyons as well as Bridgewater State.
