MEET RESULTS

Gordon College Women's Swimming hosted the Regis College Pride and the Elms College Blazers this evening at the Bennett Center for their home-opener. Regis bested Gordon, 109-62 and Gordon defeated Elms, 99-39.

In the 1000 yard freestyle, Katherine Maloney went the distance and took the top spot thanks to a time of 12:25.17 which was 11 seconds ahead of the next fastest swimmer. Mia Frazier was flying in the 50 yard freestyle and earned herself a fourth place finish after hitting the wall at the 27.21 mark. Frazier then came back and secured her best finish of the afternoon, coming in second place in the 100 yard backstroke after recording a time of 1:09.59. In her second long distance event of the evening, Maloney once again came in first place after completing the 500 yard freestyle in just 6:01.20. Wrapping up the night on a high note was Ella Schissler and Lily Brooks who came in second and third place, respectively, in the 100 yard breaststroke thanks to times of 1:29.33 and 1:32.88.

Next up for the Fighting Scots is another dual meet on Saturday, November 5 in Norton, Mass. against their host the Wheaton Lyons as well as Bridgewater State.
