Scots Place 17th At DIII New England Championships

<a href="https://www.tfrrs.org/results/xc/20822/NCAA_Division_III_East_Region_Cross_Country_Championships#event138312">MEET RESULTS</a><br /> <a href="https://www.cccathletics.com/sports/wxc/2022-23/releases/2022XCNCAARegionals">CCC RELEASE</a><br /> <br /> Gordon College Men's Cross Country traveled to Brunswick, Maine to race in the Division III New England Championship 8k where the Fighting Scots earned 17th place after a combined time of 2:26:19, putting them just behind Commonwealth Coast Conference opponents, Wentworth. Hosted by Bowdoin College, the challenging 8k course saw top-runners from prestigious universities such as MIT, Colby, Tufts, and Bates. <br /> <br /> The Scots were led by Colin McGinn who was the 78th runner out of 233 to cross the finish, completing the race with a time of 28:23.6, followed by Philip Kay who recorded a time of 28:49.8 who earned a spot in the top-100 (97th). Meanwhile, Stephen Kaelin crossed the finish line at 29:15.4 followed by Cameron Abbot (29:51.2), Zachary Smith (30:00.2) and Wesley Marquardt (30:19.7) before Seth Morgan closed out the race for the Scots with a time of 31:18.0.  <br /> <br /> The Fighting Scots await the announcement on Sunday afternoon for an individual bid to the nationals.
