After running to a top-10 finish at the NCAA DIII All-New England Championships this past weekend on Saturday, November 12 Gordon College Cross Country's most decorated distance-runner Rachel Brennan earned her ticket to the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championship after recording a personal-best time of 22:44.9 on the 6k course, landing the junior a 10th place finish and a plane seat to Lansing, Michigan for the major event. After her speedy time, the cross country star also earned All-Region status. 

The race is set to be hosted by Olivet College as well as the Greater Lansing Sports Authority this Saturday, November 19 through Michigan State University's Forest Akers East Golf Course with Brennan's race to begin at 11 a.m. Eastern time before the men's race at noon. 

Brennan, the reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Runner of the Year, is the second women's cross country runner in Gordon College history to qualify for the National Championship, the first since Hall of Honor inductee Ember Brosius accomplished the feat in 2000. This marks the first time a CCC women's runner has qualified since 2013. As well as representing the Scots, Brennan will be the only CCC member competing in the exclusive event.
