How It Happened
- The Scots and Vikings went bucket for bucket to open up the first where the largest lead held by either side was just three points (held by Gordon, 10-7) less than three minutes into the quarter. After 10 minutes of balanced action, the score was locked up at 16-all heading into the second period after Haley Goodwin knocked in a layup to tie the game in the final minute.
- A. Rivera netted 11 of her squad's 25 second quarter points to give the blue and white a six-point advantage heading into halftime.Â
- Gordon racked up their biggest lead of the evening thanks to an Anderson three-pointer midway through the third (11 points) before the Vikings crawled their way back to cut their deficit to four points heading into the final 10 minutes of regulation.
- Wynbeek found the bottom of the net early and often in the fourth as the senior scored six straight points for the blue and white to quickly regain their 11 point advantage at the 7:30 mark in the fourth. The Scots continued to have the upper hand as they maintained a comfortable double-digit lead throughout to come away with the 15-point win over the Vikings.Â
