Gordon College Women's Track and Field traveled to Boston University this morning to participate in the Sharon Colyear-Danville Invitational where the Fighting Scots competed against the top runners in New England from Division I schools such as Quinnipiac, Boston College, Rhode Island, Williams, and their hosts, Boston University. In addition to earning multiple top-finishes, the Scots broke two records in track events.
Kimberly Poulos secured the Scots' first top-10 finish of the day in the 400m race as the rookie crossed the finish with a time of 1:06.25 to finish eighth.
In the 300m run,
Amaris Goodwin was the first Scot to cross the finish while etching her name in the Gordon record books after booking a record-breaking time of 42.98 to finish 32nd. Teammates
Olivia Gregory (47.24) and
Allison Subat (49.29) were not far behind, booking 41st and 43rd place, respectively.
Meanwhile,
Rachel Brennan topped off the track events by earning her 12th Gordon College record with a 17th place finish in the 5,000m run after a new personal best time of 17:46.39.
For the field events, Tiana Fox launched the shot put 10.29m to land a ninth place finish for the Scots while
Madison Ahern earned 14th with a throw of 8.54m.
