Gibb, Brennan Highlight Successful Day At Bowdoin Invitational

MEET RESULTS

Traveling to Brunswick, Maine today for their second meet of the 2022 indoor season, Gordon College Women's Track & Field had a record-setting day led by their underclassmen.

In the 60m dash, Hannah Gibb ran her way to a second place finish thanks to a new Gordon record of 8.08m, while also making the cut to compete at the DIII New England Championships. In the same race, current record holder Amaris Goodwin earned a time of 8.25 which was a personal best for the rookie.

Adding another impressive finish to her afternoon, Gibb ran the 200m in 27.00 flat for a fourth place finish to also qualify her for New Englands.

Long distance runner, Rachel Brennan demolished the Gordon indoor 3000m record after her time of 10:40.40 which earned her a second place finish. The 3000m record was previously held by Sarah Loy (10:55.74) set in 2008.

Wrapping up a successful trip, Allison Subat, Gibb, Abigail Baier, and Goodwin secured a third place finish in the 4x400m with a time of 4:33.40.

Next up for some of the Fighting Scots is an appearance at DIII New England Championships next weekend in Waterville, Maine before the whole squad competes at the Wesleyan Spring Classic on Saturday, March 26.
