How It Happened
- Suffolks' Welling knocked in two from the charity stripe in the first 50 seconds of the first, but that was all the points the Rams could muster up for the next nine minutes as Gordon gained control of the quarter scoring 13 straight points. However, the Rams' DiCecco launched a three from mid court as the buzzer sounded to make the score 13-5.
- Again it was Suffolk who drew first blood in the frame, but the Fighting Scots continued to hit their shots as well as limiting the Rams' offense throughout the remainder of the quarter to take a 14-point lead heading into halftime.
- Coming back from the break, A. Rivera immediately added to the Scots' advantage with one from behind the arc to go up 34-17. Gordon continued to command the court, eventually ending the third with their biggest edge, 52-31.
- In the final quarter, the Rams attempted to chip away, coming within 13 at the 2:41 mark before I. Rivera silenced Suffolk just seven seconds later with a layup after a fast break. The Scots continued to tack onto their lead, however with 30 seconds remaining, the Rams were able to hit back to back layups followed by a Dicecco three but it was not enough as the Fighting Scots took the eventual 69-57 win.Â
