Nine Scots from the Gordon College Swim team will compete against the region's best at the 2022 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships hosted at the University of Rhode Island's Tootell Aquatic Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. The events begin this evening and conclude on Sunday, February 27 with the preliminary events in the morning and afternoon, followed by the finals at night with the women's events preceding the men's.

Kicking off the first of five relays for the Scots,
Charlotte Cummings,
Gina Ouellette,
Carley Ross, and
Grace Haxhinasto will be the first to dive in, as the quad will participate in the 800 freestyle relay. In the remaining relays,
Lily Brooks,
Olivia Rose, Ouellette, and
Janelle Maxwell will compete in the 400 medley; Haxhinasto, Cummings, Rose, and Maxwell will take on the 400 freestyle relay; Brooks, Rose, Ouellette, and Maxwell will team up yet again in the 200 medley relay; while Haxhinasto, Cummings, Rose, and Maxwell will work together in the 200 freestyle relay.
On the men's side, sophomore
John Sullivan will look to make a splash for the Scots, after qualifying for a total of ten events, Sullivan will compete in the 1000 Freestyle (11:33.32), 400 IM (5:09.11), 1650 Freestyle (19:48.41), and the 200 Fly (2:25.35).
Zachary Barneson will also be competing for the blue and white after crushing it at Gordon's virtual meet against St. Joseph's on February 12. During the meet, the freshman swam his way to three event qualifications thanks to the following times: 50 backstroke (30.05), 50 breaststroke (33:94), and 50 butterfly (28.55).
For the women, senior captain Rose will highlight the way for her squad, qualifying for eight individual events, and will compete individually in the 50 breast stroke (35.13), 400 IM (5:32.49), 100 breaststroke (1:17.22), and 200 breaststroke (2:51.06). Next, junior Maxwell will square off against her opponents in the 50 freestyle (27.97), 100 IM (1:12.50), 50 butterfly (30.42), and 100 freestyle (1:01.30). Underclassmen, Ross and Ouellette both earned spots in the 50 butterfly (31.70; 30.47) as well as the 200 butterfly (2:36.53; 2:37.01). Rookie, Haxhinasto will compete in the 1650 freestyle (20.57.28), 50 freestyle (28.61), 1000 freestyle (12:31.16), and the 100 freestyle (1:01.36).
