Warriors, Bears Too Much For Scots

MEET RESULTS

The Gordon College Men's Swim team hit the road to take on the host team, the Eastern Connecticut State Warriors as well as the Bridgewater State University Bears. Despite their best efforts, the Fighting Scots were bested by the Warriors (88-380) and by the Bears (110-379).

John Sullivan continued his success in the distance events this season, as the sophomore booked a second place finish thanks to an 11:33.32 time in the 1000 yard freestyle. Collecting a fifth place finish, Zachary Barneson crashed into the wall at 36.72 in the 50 yard breast stroke. In another fifth place finish for the blue and white, Sullivan posted a time of 1:03.22, which was just behind the third and fourth place swimmers in the 100 yard butterfly. Joining the top finishes of the day was senior Ryan Locke who was the fifth swimmer to touch the wall thanks to a time of 28.54 in the 50 yard freestyle. In the final events, Locke, Barneson, and Sullivan each came away with another fifth place finish to add to the tally in the 10 yard backstroke, 50 yard butterfly, and 200 yard IM, respectively.

Gordon returns to the Bennett Center on Saturday, February 12 to celebrate Senior Day against Saint Joseph's at 12 p.m.
