Box Score Gordon College Women's Tennis returned to action today to take on the Monarchs of Methodist University in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Despite picking up a pair of wins in singles competitions, the Fighting Scots ultimately fell 7-2.

Methodist opened up doubles play with an 8-2 win on the third courts before going on to secure the eventual sweep after taking No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-4 and No. 2's, 8-6.

Needing just two more victories to clinch the match, Methodist took care of business in No. 6 and No. 1 singles to book the win. However, despite the decision already decided, Gordon came away with a pair of gritty wins from Annette Kim and Madison West. Kim dropped the first set 3-6 before coming back in full force to take down her No. 2 counterpart 7-5 and 10-7. Similarly, West also went to three sets as the senior won the first 7-5, lost the second 4-6, and took care of business in the third, 10-6.

The Fighting Scots conclude their Spring Break trip on Friday, March 11 against Cairn at 12:30 p.m.
