Kay Shines In Rookie Debut

MEET RESULTS

The Gordon College Men's Cross Country team came in second place at their very own Battle of the North Shore Invitational this afternoon to begin their 2022 fall campaign. Cross-town rival, Endicott College came in first while the Salve Regina Seahawks rounded off the day by taking third place.

Rookie Philip Kay made a splash in his first collegiate meet, putting on the throttles in the final stretch to secure a third place finish, edging out Endicott's Josh Lehmann by just .2. The Fighting Scots finished strong as Colin McGinn (16:45.9), and Zachary Smith (15:50.7), Wesley Marquardt (17:38.7), and Cameron Abbot (17:38.8) all finished in the top ten at sixth, seventh, ninth, and tenth, respectively.

The Fighting Scots return to the trails on Saturday, September 10 at the University of New England Invitational in Biddeford, Maine.
