Box Score Gordon College Women's Tennis traveled into Brighton, Massachusetts today for their season-opener against the Simmons University Sharks at Daly Field. Despite their best efforts, the Fighting Scots were bested by the home team, 7-2.

Doubles partners Annette Kim and Caroline Helmer defeated their counterparts Vanessa Camargo and  Olga Zhizhin in the No. 1 position, 8-5 for the Fighting Scots lone victory in doubles competitions. Heading over to singles, Abbigail Fournier battled point for point with Leah Bonis in the No. 2 slot, eventually securing the 7-5, 6-2 victory for the Scots' second and final point of the afternoon. 

The Fighting Scots return to action on Friday, September 9 at the Brigham Athletic Complex to square off against the Lions of Emerson College at 3:30 p.m.
