MEET RESULTS

Gordon College Women's Swimming traveled to Biddeford, Maine this morning to compete against the University of New England (UNE) Golden Bears at the UNE Campus Center Pool where the Fighting Scots ultimately fell in the dual meet, 67-183. 

Gordon's Mia Frazier started off the Scots with a second place finish in the 200 yard IM after a finals time of 2:32.31. In the next event, Katherine Maloney continued to dominate for the Fighting Scots, securing the gold in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:11.90 before earning second place in the 50y breaststroke (37.32). Meanwhile, Grace Haxhinasto booked a silver medal in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 29.14, moments before Janelle Maxwell hit the wall in 29.89 to be the next athlete to finish. 

In relays, the Gordon squad of Frazier, Maloney, Haxhinasto, and Maxwell earned a second place finish with a team time of 1:57.61 in the 200 yard freestyle relay to top off the meet. 

The Fighting Scots have a quick turn around as they hit the pool again tomorrow, Sunday, January 15 when they host the Husson Eagles and Regis for a tri-meet at 2 p.m.
