Scots Bested By Eagles and Pride At Home

MEET RESULTS

Hosting a home meet for the first time since fall semester, Gordon College Men's Swimming welcomed the Husson University Eagles and the Regis College Pride to the Bennett Center this afternoon where the Fighting Scots were bested by the Eagles (160-44) and Pride (91-83).

The crew of Zachary Barneson, John Sullivan, Major Adair, and Brenndan Teeter booked a time of 1:54.28 in the 200 yard medley relay to give them a positive start to the afternoon as the quad came in second place. In the next event, Sullivan came back in the pool to put up a time of 11:24.03 as the junior took home second place in the 1000 yard freestyle. Collecting their third straight second place nod was Adair who crashed into the wall at the 2:03.14 mark in the 200 yard freestyle. Then, Barneson recorded a third place finish in the 50 yard backstroke (30.66) before Teeter also picked up a third place honor in the 100 yard backstroke as the rookie came into the finish with a time of 1:03.55. Finishing strong, the blue and white's Teeter battled in the 100 yard IM to secure a second place finish thanks to a time of 1:03.73.

Next up for the Scots is a home meet on Saturday, January 21 as they host Albertus Magnus at 12 p.m. where the blue and white will celebrate senior day.
