CCC RELEASE | MEET RESULTS
The Gordon College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams hosted the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships today around Gordon College Campus.
From the gun,
Rachel Brennan solidified herself as the leader of the pack as the senior eventually claimed the crown after a time of 21:48. Coming in not far behind was teammate
Carolyn Day (22:47) who took second place for the Fighting Scots. Wrapping up the top-three finishers for the blue and white was
Caroline Piorkowski who was the 16th runner to cross the finish with a time of 24:29. Overall the Scots came in fourth place, one point shy of Roger Williams who placed third.
Rookie
Jesse Comanda paced his squad after crossing the finish line at the 26:26 mark for a fourth place finish.
Colin McGinn also booked a top-15 finish as the senior was the 10th runner to blaze through the finish line (26:55).
Zachary Smith was the third runner for the Scots with a time of 27:50 to come in 21st place. As a team, the Scots were able to put together a bronze medal finish on the day.
Next up for the Fighting Scots is the New England DIII Regionals on Saturday, November 11.
