Eagles Protect The Nest From Scots

MEET RESULTS

Gordon College Women's Swimming traveled up to Bangor, Maine to battle the Eagles of Husson University. The home team was able to defend their home pool with a 168-105 win over the Fighting Scots. 

By The Numbers
  • Grace Haxhinasto was the second swimmer to touch the wall in the 200 yard freestyle (2:22.70), followed by teammate Isabella Gadouas who was just behind at the 2:23.40 mark.
  • Katherine Maloney claimed the top spot in the 100 yard breaststroke thanks to a time of 1:18.75.
  • Gina Ouellette blew past the competition in the 200 yard butterfly finishing nearly a full minute ahead of the next swimmer (2:47.58).
  • M.Kay Farkas and Gadouas made it a two-three punch in the 50 yard freestyle with times of 28.43 and 28.71, respectively.
  • It was dejavu for Farkas and Gadouas as the duo came in second and third once again in the 100 yard freestyle (1:02.44, 1:06.09).
  • Lily Brooks secured a second place finish in the 200 yard backstroke (2:35.61).
  • Arwen Hefner touched the wall at the 3:00.43 mark to take second in the 200 yard breaststroke.
  • Maloney and Haxhinasto claimed the first and second spot in the 500 yard freestyle with times of 5:57.11 and 6:25.45, respectively.
  • Ouellette picked up a second place finish in the 100 yard butterfly (1:11.88).
  • Farkas recorded her best finish of the day in the 100 yard IM after a time of 1:14.03.
  • In the 200 yard freestyle, Farkas, Gadouas, Haxhinasto, and Maloney orchestrated a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay. 
Next up for the Fighting Scots is a two-day meet with the Regis College Pride in Weston, Mass. starting on Friday, December 1.
