RESULTS
Gordon College Men's Track & Field traveled to Norton, Massachusetts this morning to compete in the Wheaton Pre Post Season Meet hosted by the Wheaton College Lyons where the Fighting Scots booked multiple top-ten finishes.
Daniel Erikson started the Scots off strong in track events, earning Gordon's first top-ten finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.38 in the preliminary round before shaving off eight seconds in the finals (9.30) to book a seventh-place finish. Next,
Henry Lonstein broke his own personal record to rewrite the Gordon College record books in the 60m dash with a new and improved time of 7.38 to earn fifth place in the event since improving his time from 7.40 this past December. In the 3000m run, Scots
Zachary Smith and
Colin McGinn capped off the track events with 13th and 14th place, respectively (9:34.19, 9:34.75).
Matthew McCluskey earned the first top-ten finish in field events as the rookie earned sixth place in the long jump with a jump of 5.87m. Meanwhile,
Jonathan Van Bebber booked a 15th place finish in the shot put after launching a 10.55m throw.
The Fighting Scots will compete in the NCAA DIII New England Indoor Championship in Brighton Mass. on Saturday, February 25.
