How It Happened
- While Endicott was able to sink the first basket, the Scots retaliated soon after to take the 8-4 edge thanks to a three from Naomi Nicholson just under three minutes into the game. It wasn't until 3:27 remaining in the first quarter when the Gulls were able to knot it up at 14 before taking the minimal one-basket lead (16-14) which they held on to for the remaining minute to head into the next frame, 18-16.
- The Gulls quickly added to their edge with a layup but the Fighting Scots slowly chipped away to tie it up 20-20. The squads ping-ponged the advantage until Endicott net three in a row to take a more comfortable lead, 28-22, but the Scots refused to go down, striking back with back to back layups to head into the half, 26-28.
- Both teams went basket for basket to open up the third until an I. Rivera three reclaimed the lead for the Fighting Scots 35-32 with 4:20 left on the boar before entering the final frame, 43-40.
- Back to back layups from Hannah Lomonaco lengthened the Scots' lead to seven (47-40) in the opening minutes of the fourth, however, Endicott battled back to take the narrow one-point edge with 3:27 remaining (50-49) before I. Rivera put the Scots back on top with a layup of her own (51-50). With less than a minute remaining, the Gulls were able to take a four-point lead (57-53) that the Scots were unable to catch up on, taking the eventual 60-55 loss.
