MEET RESULTS
Gordon College Men's Track & Field traveled to Cambridge, Massachusetts this morning to cap off their regular season at the MIT Seam Collier Invitational where the Fighting Scots booked multiple medal finishes against the top Universities in the Northeast.
The Scots started off track events with a fifth place finish as
Jacob Smith completed the 400m run in 51.70, which was 0.17 behind Harvard's top runner. Meanwhile,
Daniel Erikson continued to shine in the 110m hurdles as the junior earned fourth after crossing the finish in 17.04. In the 400m hurdle event,
Joseph Tibbles booked a bronze medal with a speedy time of 59.66, before his teammate
Alexander Ferris contributed to the top-10 finishes after running the event in 1:02.46 (10th).
Colin McGinn was the highlight of the 3000 Steeplechase as the upperclassman earned the top-spot after completing the course in 10:08.91, while
Philip Kay came in a few runners behind him to book fourth (10:44.14).
In field events,
Daniel Chewning launched himself 12.50m in the triple jump to earn an eighth place finish. In the shot put event,
Justin Mini added another top-10 placement after throwing a 11.86m, while
Jonathan Van Bebber placed not far behind him (13th) with a throw of 11.37m. Lastly, Kay topped off the field events for the Scots with a sixth place finish after hurling the javelin 37.70m.
The Fighting Scots are back in action a week from today for the CCC Championships held at the Scots' very own Brigham Athletic Complex.
