Strong Team Finish Gives Scots Victory At Pop Crowell Invitational

MEET RESULTS

Gordon College Cross Country hosted its 52nd Annual Pop Crowell Invitational on a sunny afternoon in spite of Hurricane Lee delaying the race. The Fighting Scots were crowned champs with a team score of 40. Wentworth came in second, while Endicott took third.

It was senior, Zachary Smith, who came out strong for the Scots with a third place overall finish at 27:21, followed by rookie Jesse Comanda coming in at sixth overall (27:33), and Colin McGinn (28:07) in the eight spot. Just shy of a top ten finish, Philip Kay (28:39) crossed the line at the 11th slot. To round out the top five finishers for the Fighting Scots was Stephen Kaelin with a time of 28:46 in 13th place overall. 

The Fighting Scots' next meet will be Saturday, September 23rd in Boston as they compete in the Codfish Bowl with a start time of 10:30 a.m.
