Gordon College Women's Tennis welcomed the Suffolk University Rams this afternoon to the Brigham Athletic Complex where the Fighting Scots protected their home court with a clean 9 - 0 victory. The Scots are now 2 - 0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.
Abbigail Fournier and
Hannah Hovda collected the first tally of the afternoon in the No. 3 doubles slot with an 8 - 3 win. Gordon followed that up with wins from
Chloe Hanley and
Amanda Kim in No. 2 action (8 - 2) as well as another 8 - 2 victory thanks to the No. 1 duo of
Annette Kim and
Serena Ross.
Needing just two more wins to seal the victory, Fournier and Ross answered the call as No. 4 Fournier took care of business with a 6 - 1, 6 - 1 victory before Ross' 6 - 0, 6 - 2 ruling clinched another league win for the blue and white.
Next up for Gordon is the
ITA New England Regional Championship hosted this weekend by Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn.
