Gordon College Women's Tennis opened up their fall campaign at the Colby-Sawyer Invitational in New London, New Hampshire today.
In No. 1 doubles,
Serena Ross and
Annette Kim took third place after defeating the top pair of Rhode Island College (RIC), 6-1.Â
Then, in No. 1 singles, Kim continued to roll, as the senior once again defeated her counterpart from RIC by a score of 2-4, 4-0, (10-7).
Abbigail Fournier secured third place in No. 4 singles (4-0, 4-3, default).Â
Rounding out the victories for the Fighting Scots was
Hannah Hovda who came in third in No. 6 singles (4-3 (5), 4-3 (3).
Additionally,
Amanda Kim and
Chloe Hanley made it to the finals of their respective flights coming in second place.Â
Fournier and Handley also secured second place finishes in doubles.Â
The Fighting Scots return to Wenham tomorrow to host the Simmons University Sharks at 12 p.m. at the Brigham Athletic Complex.Â
