MEET RESULTS
The Gordon College Men's Swim team traveled up to Standish, Maine to compete against the Monks of Saint Joseph's College. The Fighting Scots defeated the home team 89-30.
By The Numbers
- Senior, Stephen Mayo recorded a first place time of 22:50.32 in the 1650 yard freestyle.
- In the 200 yard freestyle, Major Adair, took first with a time of 2:22.64.
- With a record breaking time of 22.44, rookie standout, James Branaugh took home first in the 50 yard freestyle. The record before was 22.54 set in 2018.
- John Sullivan tallied another first place finish for the blue and white in the 400 yard IM (5:03.58).Â
- Branaugh and Adair had the one two punch in the 50 yard butterfly with times of 26.25 and 27.87 respectively.Â
- In the 100 yard freestyle, Mayo hit the wall for a second place finish (1:00.28).Â
- Zachary Barneson added another first place finish for the Fighting Scots with a time of 31.78 in the 50 yard backstroke.
- Mayo had another first place finish in the 500 yard freestyle (6:37.06).
- Sullivan and Barneson competed in the 50 yard breaststroke where they came in second and third with times of 32.27 and 34.71, respectively.Â
- Branaugh, Sullivan, Barenson, and Adair came in first place with a time of 1:39.43 in the 200 yard freestyle relay.Â
Up next for the blue and white will be senior day on Saturday, January 20 at 1 p.m. as they take on the University of Saint Joseph's Bluejays.Â
