TEAM SCORES
The Gordon College Women's Swim Team returned to their home pool today as they celebrated Senior Day against the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) Blue Jays. The Fighting Scots took care of business with a 164-80 win over the visitors.
By The Numbers
- Katherine Maloney took her usual first place spot in the 1000 yard freestyle (12:04.74). Teammate Grace Haxhinasto followed shortly behind in second place.Â
- M.Kay Farkas and Haxhinasto made it a one-two punch in the 200 yard freestyle thanks to times of 2:13.34 and 2:17.78, respectively.Â
- Lily Brooks and Lillyan Defeo were the first and second swimmers to touch the wall in the 50 yard backstroke (33.44, 37.13).
- Arwen Hefner and Ella Schissler were neck and neck in the 50 yard breaststroke after recording times of 38.20 and 29.16, respectively.
- Gina Ouellette cruised to another first place finish for the blue and white in the 200 yard butterfly (2:41.57).
- Isabella Gadouas earned second place in the 50 yard freestyle (28.27).
- Farkas claimed the crown in the 100 yard freestyle (1:00.72).
- Brooks recorded her second first place finish in the 200 yard backstroke (2:35.04).Â
- Maloney and Schissler sported times of 2:47.48 and 3:09.64, respectively in the 200 yard breaststroke to come in first and second.
- Haxhinasto and Hefner continued the pattern of back to back finishes for the Scots as the duo came in first and second in the 500 yard freestyle.
- Ouellette's time of 31.37 in the 50 yard butterfly gave her a first place finish.
- Maloney scooped up yet another first place finish thanks to a time of 2:24.52 in the 200 yard freestyle.
- The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Gadouas, Haxhinasto, Farkas, and Maloney orchestrated a first place nod (4:06.11).
