Gordon College Women's Tennis has earned the No. 2 seed in the Conference of New England (CNE) Postseason Tournament. With the No. 2 seeding, the Fighting Scots earned a first round bye after boasting an overall record of 6-3 and 4-2 in CNE action. This marks the best seeding position for the blue and white since 2015 when they were also the No. 2 seed.
The Fighting Scots rolled to four 7-0 victories on the season, including three CNE shutouts. Most notably, the Scots took down CNE rival and crosstown rival Endicott College in a gritty battle, 4-3. Gordon's win over Endicott marks the first time the Scots have defeated the Gulls in 18 years.

CNE FORMAT
The top six teams in conference play will qualify for the CNE Women's Tennis Championship. All matches will be played in a clinch-clinch format. Following the conclusion of the regular season matches, the seeds and schedule of matches will be posted on the CNE website.
The top two seeds of the tournament receive a "bye" through the first round, and will each host semifinal matchups. In the first round, the No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed, and the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed.
WHO WILL GORDON PLAY?
The Scots await the winner of the No. 3 Endicott vs. No. 6 Suffolk first round match which will be decided on Tuesday afternoon. Gordon will host the CNE Semifinal Match on Thursday, October 17 at 3 p.m. at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
