Gordon College Women's Tennis hosted the Emerson College Lions this afternoon in non-conference action as part of Homecoming Weekend. The Fighting Scots claimed their fourth shutout of the season after taking down the Lions, 7-0 to improve to 6-2 overall.
How It Happened
- Makayla Otey and Amanda Kim came off the No. 3 doubles court successful with a dominant 6-1 win. Securing the doubles point were Serena Ross and Annette Kim in the No. 1 slot after bettering their opponents, 6-2.
- Chloe Hanley began the win parade for the Fighting Scots (6-0, 6-3), followed by Annette Kim (6-4, 6-0), to set Gordon up for victory. Sealing the deal was Roos who came back from a 3-6 first set loss to earn the (3-6, 6-2, 6-4) victory to clinch the match for the home team.
- Also picking up wins were Otey, Amanda Kim, and Gianna Hallam.
The Scots are on the road for their next contest as they travel to Dudley, Mass. to take on the Bison of Nichols on Wednesday, October 9.
