How It Happened
- I. Rivera knocked down a jumper as the Fighting Scots drew first blood and held the upper hand to outscore the No.2 Nor'easters 24-20 after the first quarter.
- UNE trailed the entire time until there were two minutes left before halftime to take their first lead of the game (31-30). However, Naomi Nicholson answered right back with a shot from behind the arc followed by an I. Rivera jumper to go ahead 35-31 at the break.
- After a UNE layup to kick off the third, Cheyann Tooman retaliated on the other end to maintain the four-point cushion for the blue and white. Gordon continued to hold the Nor'easters at an arm's length until the home team knotted up the score before pulling ahead to go on top by eight heading into the fourth (54-46).
- A. Rivera sank a jumper from the elbow to cut the deficit to three, but the No. 2 Nor'easters maintained their lead to secure the win.
