As announced by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC, Gordon College Women's Basketball's,
Ami Rivera, has been named to the CCC Third Team after a standout junior season. Additionally, the Fighting Scots earned the Sportsmanship Award for their utmost character on and off the court.Â
Starting in all 26 games this season, the junior guard scored a team-leading 398 points for an average of 15.3 ppg, while also dishing out 70 assists, which was the second on the team. Behind the arc, the junior knocked down 51 three's, averaging 39 percent on the year. A. Rivera also kept steady at the charity strip as an 80 percent free throw shooter. Most notably, the captain recorded her 1000th point on Saturday, February 3 versus Roger Williams where she dropped 25 on the home court to become the 15th player in program history to reach the milestone.
With this recognition, A. Rivera has been tabbed to the All-Conference Team in all three years as a Fighting Scot.
