CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT RELEASE

As announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) this week, Gordon College Women's Basketball's student-athletes Naomi Nicholson (marketing, business management) and Cheyann Tooman (early childhood education) have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team after excelling both on the court and in the classroom this past semester. 

In order to receive this honor, a student-athlete must obtain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and must also have at least sophomore academic standing. 

Both Nicholson and Tooman played instrumental roles for the Fighting Scots this season. Point guard Nicholson averaged 8.6 points per game (ppg) and dished out 129 assists on the year, while forward, Tooman controlled the glass by averaging 6.0 rebounds a game (rpg) and averaged 4.2 ppg. 

This marks the first time that both student-athletes have garnered this honor.
