Program And Personal Records Continue To Drop At Snowflake Classic

Gordon College Men's Track & Field team competed in their second outdoor meet of the season as they took the short trip to Tufts University for the Snowflake Classic today. 

By The Numbers (Track Events)
  • Zachary Paige registered a new personal record in the 10,000m run (34:24.89) which was a 36 seconds better than his previous best to come in seventh place. 
  • Jesse Comanda was the third runner (out of 50 runners) to complete the 1,500m run with a time of 4:03.91.
  • Coming in fifth place in the 4x100m relay was Henry Lonstein, Daniel Chewning, Keenan Jones, and Matthew McCluskey who orchestrated a time of 44.12.
  • Lonstein not only set a personal record for himself, but also elevated his previous school record in the 100m thanks to a time of 11.09 to claim third place. Teammate Chewning followed just behind with the second fastest time in school history at the 11.21 mark (fifth place). The personal records in the 100m continued for the blue and white as McCluskey and Elijah Sutton also set new marks
  • Jacob Smith finished ahead of 35 other runners in the 800m after coming in fourth place (1:59.02).
  • In the 400H, Peter McGinn sported a sixth place finish after crossing the finish line at the 58.77 mark. McGinn's time a new personal record and was just .2 off from the school record.
  • J. Smith, Chewning, Lonstein, and McGinn teamed up for a fifth place finish in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:34.50.

  • Chewning recorded a seventh place finish in the long jump (5.96m).
The Fighting Scots look to next Saturday, April 6 as they host the Jonathan Tymann Invitational at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
