After one of their off days yesterday, Gordon College Women's Tennis returned to the court today as they took on the Blue Streaks of John Carroll University in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Despite their best efforts, the Fighting Scots lost by a score of 8-1.
The Blue Streaks took care of business in doubles as they raced out to a 3-0 advantage.
In singles, John Carroll claimed the overall win with two early wins to seal the deal. Despite the match in hand for the Blue Streaks, Gordon rookie Chloe Hanley earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the No. 2 slot. Additionally, Abbigail Fournier put immense pressure on her No. 3 singles' opponent, 6-3, 4-6, 10-0.
The Fighting Scots will play again tomorrow in Hilton Head against the Clark University Cougars at 5:30 p.m.
