The Gordon College Men's Track and Field team traveled to Cambridge, Massachusetts as they competed in the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by Massachusetts Insitute of Technology, where eight individuals honed personal records.Â
By The Numbers (Track Events)
- Rookie, Jesse Comanda ran in the 1500m as he set a personal record with a time of 4:00.50.
- Sprinter, Elijah Sutton tallied a pair of personal record in the 100m dash and 200m dash with times of 12.36 and 25.15, respectively.Â
- In the 100m dash, Malachi Bredy ran a 12.13 recording a personal best.Â
- Notching a top-10 finish in the 400m hurdles was Peter McGinn with a time fo 1:00.02.Â
By The Numbers (Field Events)
- Noah Prince set two personal records, first in the discus throw with a distance of 32.28m, and followed up his performance in the shot put with a throw of 10.36m.Â
- In the hammer throw, Davi Butkowsky threw for a distance of 29.24m setting another personal record for the Fighting Scots.Â
- Bredy continued to have a day as he set a personal best in the long jump with a distance of 4.90m, which qualified him for DIII New England Championships.
The Fighting Scots look ahead to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships this coming weekend with the steeplechase taking place at Gordon on Thursday, April 25. The remainder of the Championship will be hosted by Roger Williams University at Portsmouth High School starting on Friday, April 26.
