WBCA FULL RELEASE

Gordon College Women's Basketball has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for their academic success this past academic year as they were named to the 2023-24 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls.

The Fighting Scots sported a team GPA of 3.24, surpassing the GPA requirement of 3.0 for consideration for this prestigious honor. Within the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Gordon along with Suffolk represented the league with their outstanding work in the classroom.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2023-24 season is the 29th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

This marks the first time in Head Coach Carter Shaw's era that the Scots have earned this award.
