Box Score After kicking off conference action earlier this week, Gordon College Women's Tennis traveled out to Worcester to take on the Greyhounds of Assumption (DII) where the home team blanked the Fighting Scots, 7-0.
How It Happened
- Assumption secured the first win in doubles action, but the blue and white evened it out after Chloe Hanley and Emma Tiemens got the better of their counterparts on court three. However, the Greyhounds came away with the victory in No. 2 doubles to go on top, 1-0 heading into singles.
- In singles action, DII Assumption was able to seal the deal with the win. Most notably in No. 2 singles action, sophomore Serena Ross gave her opponent a run for her money with taking the second set 6-4.Â
Next up for the blue and white is a home match on Saturday, September 21 as they return to league play to host the Western New England Golden Bears at 11 a.m. at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
