On a beautiful sunny afternoon at the Brigham Athletic Complex, Gordon College Women's Tennis hosted the Western New England Golden Bears where the Fighting Scots rolled to a 7-0 victory. Gordon now improves to 2-0 in league action.
How It Happened
- The dynamic duo of Amanda Kim and Chloe Hanley rolled out to a quick victory in No. 2 doubles action, 6-1. Gianna Hallam and Emma Tiemens sealed the doubles' point after taking court three, 6-3. Finishing off the frame on the top court were Serena Ross and Makayla Otey who claimed the 6-4 win.
- Ross stormed out to a speedy 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 1 singles action, followed by No. 2 Hanley who won by identical scores of 6-2, 6-2. Clinching the match this afternoon was Hallam who took down her counterpart, 6-2, 6-1.
- Despite the match already in hand, Gordon collected wins from the remaining singles matches from A. Kim, Tiemens, and Otey for the clean sheet.
Gordon has a quick turnaround as they come back to the courts tomorrow morning to host the Curry College Colonels with a 10 a.m. start time.
