Gordon Remains Undefeated In 2025 With Win Over Blue Jays

The Gordon College Women's Swim team traveled to Connecticut today to square off against the Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph where the Fighting Scots won their second straight meet in 2025, 181-91.

  • Right out of the gates, the blue and white ended up on top, winning the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:05.25 thanks to Emma Bruhl, Emma Lippiatt, Lydia Shustack, and Isabella Gadouas.
  • Katherine Maloney continued her success in long distance events as the veteran came in first in the 1000 yard freestyle (12:25.13).
  • Bruhl, M.Kay Farkas, and Lippiatt made it five straight events with a Fighting Scot coming in first place with Bruhl in the 200 yard freestyle (2:19.47), Farkas in the 50 yard backstroke (33.81), and Lippiatt in the 50 yard breaststroke (33.99).
  • Gina Ouellette was the second swimmer to touch the wall in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:45.04.
  • Gadouas and Lippiatt made it a one-two punch in the 50 yard freestyle with times of 27.57 and 27.77, respectively.
  • With her second straight first place finish, Gadouas swam her way to the top spot in the 100 yard freestyle (1:01.57).
  • Bruhl and Grace Haxhinasto collected another one-two punch for the Scots, this time in the 200 yard backstroke with times of 2:42.93 and 2:44.80, respectively.
  • Kicking off another streak of first place finishes was Lippiatt who hit the wall first in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:47.52). Then, Maloney and Shustack followed up with a pair of first place honors in the 500 yard freestyle (6:04.29) and 50 yard butterfly (29.59). Also in the 500 yard freestyle, Bruhl had the second best time with a mark of 6:24.65.
  • Shustack and Maloney capped off the individual events with a one-two finish in the 200 yard IM thanks to time os 2:29.57 and 2:00.19.
  • Wrapping up the afternoon was Maloney, Gadouas, Farkas, and Shustack in the 400 yard freestyle with yet another first place finish (4:10.56).
The Fighting Scots return to action a week from today for a home meet against the Monks of St. Joseph's (Maine) at the Bennett Center to celebrate Senior Day.
