Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) and junior
Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) of the Gordon College women's soccer team both claimed All-Conference of New England (CNE) first team honors, as the league office announced its end-of-season awards Friday. This marks Forbes-Smith's second-consecutive all-conference first team nod and Lapp's third all-conference first team selection.
Forbes-Smith was one of just two student-athletes to start all 18 matches this fall. She notched 19 points on the season, tallying six goals and dishing out a team-high seven assists. In conference play, Forbes-Smith netted four goals and six assists.
Lapp appeared in all 18 contests this season and started 15 games. She paced the squad with 31 points on the year, scoring a league-best 14 goals while adding three assists. In league competition, Lapp bagged seven goals and recorded two assists.
Senior
Bekah Hammond (Beverly, Mass.) represented Gordon on the CNE Community Service Team for the second-straight year. The CNE Community Service Team which highlights one student-athlete per institution who demonstrates a commitment to their community. Each winner was picked and nominated by each program's head coach.
Gordon concluded the season with a 4-10-4 overall record and 2-5-3 mark in conference action.
