WEST HARTFORD, Conn.- The Gordon College women's basketball team absorbed an 81-50 loss at Hartford Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hartford poured in 28 points in the first quarter while limiting Gordon to 12 points.
- The Hawks outscored the Fighting Scots 21-14 in the second period to own a 49-26 advantage at the halftime break.
- The home side chalked up 16 points while the visitors managed eight points in the third to extend its lead to 65-34.
- Both squads recorded 16 points in the fourth quarter as Hartford picked up its first conference win of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Woynitu Ciccarello (East Haddam, Conn.) poured in a team-high 21 points.
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) netted 10 points.
- Sophie Peters (Sidney, Mont.) added six points off the bench.
- Gordon shot 37.2% from the floor and 42.9% from three-point distance.
- Hartford finished with a field-goal percentage of 46.2% while connecting on 10-of-26 from beyond the arc.
- Ella Marchesani notched 25 points to pace the Hawks while Ava Naszimento tallied 20 points.
