How It Happened
- WNE controlled the first quarter, limiting the Scots to just four points to lead, 13-4 heading into the second frame.
- Not phased by the deficit, the blue and white came roaring out of the gates in the second, connecting on 16 unanswered points to flip the script and go on top, 20-13 with 4:29 left in the quarter. WNE did not score their first points until a minute later where they hit back-to-back shots to bring the score to 20-18 in favor of Gordon. The Scots scored the final five points of the half to hold the 25-18 advantage at halftime.Â
- Leah McGarvey opened up the third with a jumper to keep the momentum on Gordon's side, but WNE got hot offensively to regain their first lead since early in the second quarter, 37-34 after the third.
- WNE did not let up in the fourth to pull away for the win.
