The Gordon College women's golf team squared off against conference rival University of New England on Wednesday at Wenham Country Club. It was a classic head-to-head matchup with UNE's Amanda Flanagan taking home individual medalist honors after carding an impressive 75 (+8).
The Nor'easters powered their way to a team total of 338, enough to edge past Gordon (369) on the Scots' home course.
But the real story of the day? Progress.
For the second straight match, the Gordon women's golf team posted the lowest team score in program history (369, +101),
only 10 days after the Scots broke 400 for the first time, with a 399 (+115) at Tekoa Country Club on September 14. This milestone marks the Scots' rapid rise since the program's launch in 2023.
Leading the charge was first-year
standout
Myla Glaser, who once again paced the team with an 86 (+19), building on her strong showing at Tekoa CC earlier this month (90, +19). Sophomores
Chloe Korb and
Elizabeth Parent weren't far behind, posting 91 (+24) and 94 (+28), respectively. In one of the day's most inspiring moments, junior
Olivia Miller broke the 100 barrier in competition for the first time — just two years after picking up the game — finishing with a personal-best 98 (+31).
Even more impressive: all four of Gordon's scorers placed in the top 10 (3rd: Glaser, 4th: Korb, 6th: Parent, & 8th: Miller).
The Scots are proving they're not just competing—they're improving every week.
Next up: Gordon travels to Keene Country Club on Sunday, September 28 for the Keene State Invitational.
