BEVERLY, Mass.- Freshman Lucille Belval (Avon, Conn.) of the Gordon College women's tennis team garnered her second Conference of New England (CNE) Rookie of the Week honor of the year, announced the league office Monday.

Belval collected a pair of straight-set victories at the No. 1 singles position and posted a 1-1 record in doubles matches as the Fighting Scots swept Suffolk 7-0 and edged Endicott 4-3.

This fall, she owns a 5-1 record in singles action and 3-2 in doubles play.

Riding a four-match winning streak, Gordon sports a 5-1 overall record and a 4-0 mark in conference action. The Fighting Scots travel to Colby-Sawyer September 30.
